errors in blocking pedestrian circulation
In some cases, the analysis of the model discretized to 10 cm leads to errors in the identification of the paving that remains open to pedestrian circulation at the various tide levels.
The example at the 1.16 m tide level shows that in the model to 10 cm (on the left), the paving does not appear to be above water, since the elevation of the paving lies in the interval between 1.11 m and 1.20 m, and the corresponding flooded area extends across the entire width of the street; the model to 2 cm (on the right), shows that, at the same tide level, the street is not actually flooded all the way across and the paving at an elevation above 1.16m leaves a minimum clearance of 1.85 m.
